Picasso in Provence

LES BAUX EN PROVENCE, France - Situated in the hilly range of the Alpilles of Provence is a series of rock quarries, one of which has been turned into a magnificent exhibition space - Cathedrale d'Images.  Every year Cathedrale d'Images presents a new show in an abandoned quarry using computer-controlled projection, lighting and sound to beam works of art from some of the world's most fascinating artists.  This year the Cathedrale d'Images presents the work of Picasso.

"I drove the 5-1/2 miles from my hotel in Saint Remy to the village of Les Baux in the hilly range of the Alpilles.  Amid rock quarries, I followed the signs to Cathdrale d'Images and discovered a large limestone structure cum art museum."
